May means many things – Aussie Wine Month

Aussie Wine Month

The first day of May is important for lots of reasons. It’s my birthday *wink* the anniversary of my earthly incarnation. It’s also the day I registered the domain InsideCuisine.com – we are 5 years old this year!

But for wine lovers around the country more importantly it is also the start of Australia’s biggest wine celebration – Aussie Wine Month.

Aussie Wine Month is now in its third year and gives Australians from Sydney to Subiaco via Strathalbyn, inspiration through a wide range of wine events across the country.

“We have incredible wines here in Australia and what better way to celebrate than with a month long festival. This May, it will be all about our local top drops – there will be food and wine festivals, behind the scenes tours, tastings, degustation dinners and much more across Australia” says Wine Australia Regional Director, Aaron Brasher.

“We encourage Australians to open their palates, hearts and minds to our top drops and to exploring some or our picturesque wine regions in May.”

Here’s a snapshot of events occurring around Australia:
