On a recent overnight night in Rutherglen Victoria I was able to enjoy (after visiting a pig farm) a restful night’s sleep in the Noble Room of Tuileries. Hhmmm. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. Other country motel style accommodation of recent times has been sparse to say the least. Though I’d suggest that these country villa lodgings would be more appropriately called a boutique hotel. My suite was enormous with a comfortable king size bed, a dining table and chairs, chaise lounge, a terrace through sliding glass doors and a view over the tennis court and vineyards. And the bathroom (which you enter through the walk through dressing room) was really really huge with lots of floorspace, a separate shower and the treat of a big (I’m not sure if it was two or four person – as there was only me there to soak in it) spa bath.
Noble was a good name for my (should I say) suite. There room was gilt in a rather Versace like way. Take a look.
And if you are looking to stay in the area – you have my recommendation for Tuileries.
PS I didn’t get up in time (after a heavy night at All Saints winery) to try breakfast – but it was included. Apparently.
