Launches ‘Tasting Notes’ – 14 free music playlists curated by celebrities

[yellow tail] has launched a music partnership with Spotify, a digital music service, to develop 14 varietal inspired playlists, curated by 15 Australian celebrities and media identities.

Curators include Pip Edwards (Sass and Bide), Scott Dooley (comedian), Art Vs Science (musicians), and Ash London and Scott Tweedie (The Loop).

Starting from today, [yellow tail] will release one playlist every Friday that will be freely accessible via Facebook and Spotify. The playlists will match the mood of each one of [yellow tail]’s amazing wines and give people a sneak peak into the favourite music tracks of these prominent Australians.

To listen to the tracks, users just need to visit www.yellowtailwine.com/tastingnotes and click on the [yellow tail] facebook app to get started.

“Finding the perfect Spotify playlist is a lot like finding the perfect bottle of wine – you know what your mood is calling for, but finding the perfect match can be difficult,” said Travis Fuller, Marketing Manger at [yellow tail].

“We now have the perfect solution to this problem. [yellow tail] have attributed music genres to each one of our varietals and by working closely with well-known Australians as curators, developed playlists that match the respective styles of the wine,” he said.

Spotify provides instant, on-demand access to more than 16 million tracks that are accessible on computers, mobile phones, iPads and more, so users can enjoy music whenever and wherever they like.

The service launched in 2008 and was born out of a desire to develop a better, more convenient and legal alternative to music piracy. Since then, Spotify has become the world’s largest and fastest growing music service of its kind, with over 15 million users around the world.
