Women, wine and frocks are a natural combination! So it’s with great delight that today The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society announce that the Melbourne Fabulous Ladies Wine Soiree will be a Frocktober event to help raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research.
Guests attending the women-only wine event on October 25 at The Rose Diner & Bar are being encouraged to frock up and make a donation to the cause on the night.
The Melbourne Fabulous Ladies Wine Soiree is shaping up to be the ultimate women and wine experience, with fashion label Spencer Lacy, chocolate company Cacao Vin and James Halliday’s Wine Companion Magazine all coming on board as sponsors of the evening, providing fabulous prizes and giveaways.
They join YarraLoch and World Wine Estates who are the principal wine supporters of the event.
Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Soirees are women-only wine events that are currently being rolled out across the country by The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society.
Following on from the hugely successful Brisbane Fabulous Ladies Wine Soiree in August, the Melbourne event will be a Yarra Valley versus France affair, where wine loving women will have the opportunity to taste some of the best wines from the Yarra Valley’s YarraLoch Winery and compare them to an equivalent option from France – all while enjoying a delicious five course dinner created especially for the evening.
“Fabulous Ladies Wine Soirees are designed to be fun events that provide women with the opportunity to have dialogue and discussion about wine, without intimidation,” said The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society’s founder, Jane Thomson. “We’re thrilled to make the Melbourne Soiree a Frocktober event to help raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research, a cause that should be high on the agenda of every woman.”

The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society (www.fabulousladieswinesociety.com) is Australia’s online wine site for women, and provides a fun, feminine and slightly tongue-in-cheek look at the world of wine. And while the tone is playful, the goal is serious – to communicate the joys and nuances of wine to an increasingly interested group of female wine consumers.
