Australia, Sydney
When I arrived home the other day I was wearing my new ‘Champagne’ dress. It must have been a ‘Champagne’ kind of day, because there was a surprise – of the best kind – waiting for my arrival.
On my doorstep was a box of macarons, Chandon Vintage Rosé Macarons by Quarter Twenty One, and a bottle of Chandon Vintage Rosé 2008.
“The Chandon Macaron has been great fun to create. With a glass of Chandon Vintage Rosé, it is a tiny slice of heaven.” says Quarter Twenty One, Chef (and owner) Justin North.
The Chandon Macaron is a heavenly end to a meal in Sydney at Quarter Twenty One, at Opera Kitchen and at WaterBar at BLUE. This is definite first date winning territory. The Chandon Macaqron may be purchased with a flute of Chandon Vintage Rosé, or in a heavenly pack of five macarons with a bottle.
Chandon Vintage Rosé 2008 is one of Australia’s best sparkling wines, awarded 92 points in James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion and described in the same guide as “Delicately perfumed with a mere suggestion of red fruit framing the more prominent citrus aromas; the palate is fine with agood texture and lightness to finish.”
