Celebrity Chef and My Kitchen Rules TV judge Peter Evans joins critically acclaimed Japanese chef Raita Noda to raise funds for the relief efforts in Japan devastated by the recent earthquake and tsunami.
In their first ever culinary collaboration, old fishing buddies Peter and Raita have joined forces for a one-night only charity dinner with all of the proceeds going to the Australian Red Cross – Japan and Pacific Disaster Appeal 2011. Taking place at harbourfront modern Japanese restaurant Ocean Room on Thursday, June 2, this gastronomic fundraiser will see the two chefs pair up for a five course degustation dinner with matching wines and sake – for $150 per person. Guests will be treated to two courses of Raita’s distinctive brand of modern Japanese cuisine while Pete will be dishing up two courses of his favourite Japanese inspired recipes. The dinner will end in a sweet note with the dessert course especially created by renowned patisser Jean-Michel Raynaud and his team at Baroque Bistro and Patisserie. Mixologists from Hugo’s Group and Pernod Ricard will also be lending their support by welcoming guests on arrival with their Japanese inspired cocktails.
In addition to this, the evening will also go under the hammer with all of the proceeds going to the Australian Red Cross Japan appeal. Auction items include a private dinner at Ocean Room for company and corporate cooking class courtesy of Hugo’s Group.
There are limited seats available for this opportunity. Prices are $150 per person, please call Ocean Room on +61 2 9252 9585 to book.
