The girls lunch : Lucio’s Paddington

Today at Lucio’s Paddington the secret Sydney girls’ club met. Well, after this I guess it’s not so secret anymore, but it’s still by invitation only. What a splendid day. The lunch started for me as soon as I stepped out of my taxi – when my first glass of St. Giuseppe Prosecco was placed in my hand – and while I was still outside taking the first of the photos. Truly I hadn’t even had a chance to step inside the restaurant door. Now that’s service for you. And the great service continued with Lucio Galletto himself overseeing proceedings, and with him and his team the only males allowed inside our all female zone.

Every aspect of lunch was splendid, from the perfect fit of the lightfilled room that looked out into the park on Windsor Street to the attentive, caring and smooth service through to, of course, the very scrumptious quality food. Chef Logan Campbell and Lucio Galletto gave me a little lesson on the hand rolled pasta after lunch which was a bonus. I’m getting to think that I’m a chef groupie – I could always easily pass the day away with chefs! Today’s company though was about the girls, and the group gathered by my good friend and publicist Rea Francis. Sitting opposite at our table of six were the ladies I’ve dubbed The Hugo Mothers. What would be the odds? They didn’t know each other yet sat next to each other at lunch and each has a son named Hugo.

Dad has just finished cooking Beef Goulash BUT the food shown still makes my mouth drool.
Love Italian Food, particularly with the presentation shown. Makes one wish they were there with you!
What a lovely way to pass hours – excellent food together with a warm greeting from the Host, and good company.
